Pat Burrell is currently FOURTH in the All-Star game voting for American League DH. He is only 244,068 votes behind Vladimir Guerrero, the leader in that particular category. PLEASE VOTE PAT BURRELL [VPB2010]

    I already voted 25 times a few weeks ago, and I’m pretty certain I selected Pat Burrell to be the DH. And I should hope that if I hadn’t, some force in this universe would have had the good sense to strike me down for my error by now.

    As I was voting at the game (which totally sucks btw because it takes forever) I had the same thought. It would be cool as shit if Pat the Bat made the All-Star team, mostly because it would obviously be a result of Phillies fan voting since the Rays have no fanbase (and he has been terrible for them so they would never vote for him). Long Live The Bat! Also, don’t be afraid to write-in Elvis Burrell for the home run derby.

    Whatever, the way I see it, we need all the players we can get. We need to win this game. I don’t know about you guys, but I want homefield advantage when the Phillies face the __(insert AL East team name here)__. I’m sure Pat would be more than happy to strike out a few times to help a good cause.
