The Kids Getting Drunk at CBP Epidemic is Spreading

Uh-oh. We’re approaching “all the cool toddlers are doing it” territory.

As is the case with most impressionable young kids, once one of them notices a young’n their own age getting attention for doing something they’re not supposed to be doing, their first instinct is to copy that behavior. And now that all you crazies out there made such a big deal out of that first beer drinking kid, more and more beer drinking kids are gonna start popping up everywhere.

Like this one, which was sent in by reader Anthony Gallagher, who snapped this with his iPhone at a game nearly a month ago. When I asked Anthony if the kid was actually drinking or just showing off, he said, “when this picture was taken there wasn’t any beer in there, but he did it more than once when there was some.”

If you happen to see a young child tossing a few cold ones back at Citizens Bank Park, don’t hesitate to snap a pic on send it on over to the tipline. Because we figure the more we can expose these law-breaking kids, the less of a chance there is of it occurring again. That’s how it works, right?

    i was there tonight and although it was super depressing it made me realize that our fans are pretty awesome when they aren’t being morons.

    the bottom of the ninth inning was great. everyone stood up, cheered nonstop and didn’t leave until it was officially over. despite the slump, we still had faith. it was a pretty nice feeling.
