Jayson Werth’s mom drew national attention last year (from pervs, mostly) when — during a game against the Milwaukee Brewers — she was featured on the Comcast feed of a Phillies game multiple times while her son was playing. Afterward, the fellas on Baseball Tonight were showing highlights of the game and Orestes Destrade seemed awfully intrigued by Mrs. Schofield Werth. He said something to the effect of he hopes Jayson keeps hitting homers so they keep showing shots of his mom. (I would be able to play the hilarious YouTube of the clip, but those bastards over at MLB removed the evidence from YouTube a long time ago.)

Anyways, last night she showed up at the new Busch Stadium to cheer on her son. And I’m pretty sure Tom McCarthy got wood trying to crowbar a mention of her shortly after Howard’s granny.
