Here are John Bolaris and Hugh Douglas starting a “new tradition” after Phillies wins this season, smoking Phillies blunts. (Thanks to the city’s partial blunt ban, you can’t even get single blunts at many convenience stores in Philadelphia.)
This celebration is totally awesome, of course, but somehow I don’t think this new tradition will continue when the Phils win again tonight. Sadly.
I was just checking out the replay of Chase’s third inning shot last night and couldn’t help but notice the advertisement just to the left of where his go-ahead homer landed. See it up there?
It’s like the new Utley’s Corner!

If you’re going to give the finger to an opposing player, you might want to get off the cell phone first.
Later, this dude left in the eighth inning (probably).
Special thanks to dmac for the source video.

I had a good 80% of my hard-hitting prediction post written up this morning and alls I wanted to do was edit it a bit and write my last paragraph before publishing around lunch time this afternoon. And then the server crashed and my post got erased. I was fucking pissed at first, afterall I had some good stuff in there that woulda blew your fucking mind. I swear. But I don’t have time to re-write it and I can’t head out to watch the game tonight before publishing a prediction, so here goes:
The Philadelphia Phillies will win the World Series fairly easily, splitting the two games in the Bronx and winning all three here at The Bank. The biggest blow to the Yankees pride coming in Game 4 when Mariano Rivera blows a save that would’ve tied the series up at two games apiece. Instead, the Phillies go into Monday night up three games to one and close it out in front of the loudest cot damn crowd you will ever hear in your entire life. At least that’s what I think.
PHILLIES IN FIVE

Did you know that Charlie Manuel has decided to move Jimmy Rollins to second base? Neither did anyone else. We all probably should have seen it coming.
After all, Utley hasn’t been the superstar we’ve needed him to be this October, and Miguel Cairo won’t be playing during this Fall Classic. I guess the next logical step could only be Rollins at second and Bruntlett at shortstop. This is all speculation, since I haven’t called Ontario’s The Globe And Mail to verify.
