    I believe Manny complained about fans *all the time*, actually. It was one of the reasons cited in the annual Trade-Me-Palooza. Boston just never goes into histrionics over it.

    You better believe if Manny Ramirez was in a Red & White pinstripe uniform with the Phillies written on the front of his jersey and hitting .423 w/ 5 HRs in 14 games. There would be a stadium full of fans wearing a “Manny Cap”. Are you kidding me! I am not a Manny fan, but if he’s hitting like that on my team The “Manny Rules” would surely apply.

    Don’t let the dreads fool you, remember we went to the Super Bowl with a similar player a few years ago.

    This is funny! As a Red Sox fan, I think it’s terrific that the Manny hair is all the rage. This blogger sounds like he doesn’t like Manny, for whatever reason. Who cares, really! Manny is THE BOMB! Since August 1st of this year, my other favorite team is the Dodgers!

Do you know anything about sports? Mid / late season acquisitions are how non-playoff teams make pushes to become playoff teams. Did you see what happened to the Lakers after they got Gasol?! (dont tell me they didn’t win the Championship, did anyone really expect them to make the Finals with Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom????) You commenters are so lame and pathetic. I am a Yankee fan who was born in the Bronx and lives in LA, and as much as I hate the Red Sox, it is awesome to see him in LA, and to see Dodgers fans back into it. If you only you commenters in teh peanut gallery were as conscious as the fans.

    Manny is the best player in baseball — and, by far, the coolest. His unconventional attitude is monstrously cool while his technical dedication to the art of hitting shuts up all of his critics. Unless you’ve hit 20 grand slams yourself, you have no right to criticize the guy. I think the Manny wigs are terrific — I was planning on creating my own until I saw the Dodgers had the good business sense to sell them.

    This poor poster sounds awfully bitter. lol…..boston fan here who absolutely LOVES the guy, and is now a Dodgers fan, too. And yes, I did actually just tonight read the article about Manny’s personality and hitting ability. Enjoyed it immensely, good article. BTW, Sox/Rays game on 9/10….Jason Bay (0-6!)…anyway…bases loaded situation, critical game on the line……He Fans. Don’t all you Sox fans wish Manny had been at that particular at bat? I know you do…secretly.
    I know I do….the bigger the stage, the better he always is. Sox more than likely would have won that one. Oh well, the manram hit a homer in Hollywood that same nite. Have a nice day!

    Sherri… Yeah I wished Manny was in that game… except if he were still in Boston, he probably would’ve asked out of the game due to a sore hamstring/knee/pinky finger. He would not be putting up the numbers he is in LA if he wasn’t traded. He’d be pouting more than T.O. in Philly.
