The Phillies Will Wear Gold-Trimmed Jerseys on Opening Night

Word on the street is, your WFC Phillies will be sporting some stylish gold-trimmed pinstriped jerseys for their season opener on April 5th against the Braves. Besides the outlined gold “Phillies” on the front; the player name & number on the back and the number & World Series Champions patch on the sleeves will also be accented.

I posted about this earlier today too. I think these uniforms look sharp. Can’t wait to see them.
LOVE the trim and accents. HATE HATE HATE the cut-out armpits.
Also I know #5 is typically the default number for these uni templates, but using it here just seems so…weird…
What’s with that patch? Nothing like rubbing it in your opponents face.
Flyers had an idea like that in 1975 with Stanley Cup patch on right chest of jersey.
Players wouldn’t wear them, so they got rid of it.
BobD, I’m pretty sure most MLB teams wear a world series patch following their championship season.
I imagine the WS patch is just for that first game.
I think this is a good move for the Phils. Nice to recognize last season’s accomplishments.

The #5 makes me sad, but somehow having that number with the name “Player” seems about right.
With everyone pissed at the Eagles, good idea for the Phils to come out with another jersey for people to buy.

I feel like this makes us look like the USC Phillies.
Are they only going to wear them on opening day? they already have the Sunday uni, so another is kinda overkill. They do look nice though. and Tartan, you’re right the arm vents look chintzy.

LOL Nice! I hope the Mets let us have another one next year. I think we should wear this against them so all the Mets fans can see it. They may have the best team in the division but we got the champs, and that’s all that matters!
