“Jayson Werth and his Beard will circle the bases.”

As I was forced to watch the Atlanta feed of the Phillies/Braves Grapefruit League game this evening, the nerve-wracking broadcasting duo of Mike Morgan and Brian Jordan were going on and on about how magnificent Jayson Werth’s Beard is. And while they were busy complimenting Beard — WHAM-O! — practically on cue, Mr. Werth deposited a 1-1 pitch from Kenshin Kawakami over the highly touted head of Jayson Heyward for a 2-run jack.

First we have to watch an ad, and then there’s an ad on top of the video?! Damn.
I guess that’s the price you pay to watch stuff for free on the internet anymore. Oh well. Just make sure it ain’t that damn Fillet Fish thing. Anything but that ad…… Damn, now it’s in my head again.
If he pays that little attention to face grooming I would hate to see his ball bag.
With Viddler (the video hosting company), once one of your videos get a certain number of views, they automatically put ads on all your embedded videos. The only way to counter this is to keep making new accounts, but I’m on like my 4th already and it’s pretty annoying.
If I uploaded it to any other hosting jawn (YouTube, Vimeo, et al) it would get yanked with the quickness and my account would be eliminated. They’re really making it hard for me.

It is awesome.. changes the way you surf the internet.. I didn’t see any on that video and the ad block stops most ads everywhere. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Anyway, I didn’t get to watch the game. How’d Heyward look? I noticed Glaus got 3 more hits, making him 8 for his last 8…….I think they were all singles though.
In any case, don’t get used to beating the Braves. That is, anytime Halladay isn’t pitching.

I don’t see the Phillies winning 96 while playing in an improved division from last year, but they will win the east, no doubt about it. But the Braves do have a pretty decent shot at the WC.

It’s true, it was just a spring training home run, but Heyward tweaked his back trying to get it, so you best bow down and pay homage to the beard son, if you have any other prospects you hold dear
considering the phillies would have won 100 games last yr if their collective closers had normal years (maybe 7 total blown saves) plus the fact that we will have a full year of halladay leads me to believe that 96 wins is a minimum for this team, undocockscrew.

Actually, I use this same username pretty much everywhere I go on the net and have noticed the same insult quite often. However, as a born-again homosexual……..I can’t say it doesn’t fit. Just might have to go ahead and change it permanently.
And take out the ‘Y’ and replace ‘Werth’ with ‘Heyward’ and you’d be spot on.

Heyward tweaked his back, sure. But he finished his 3 AB’s, was slated to play today, and is playing tomorrow against the Yanks. Just a precaution, is all. The kid is unstoppable(well, I suppose walls can stop him).

Sure, and considering the Braves didn’t bring up Hanson until the end of May, that’s at least 4 more wins for the Braves. Also, if Chipper would’ve played better……there’s another 4 wins. Oh, and if McCann and McLouth weren’t battling vision problems……at least another 3 wins. See what I’m getting at?

Hilarious all this love for Werth’s beard when there was a dominant beard here last year, who unfortunately took it to the Yankees this year (to probably be shaved off) – NOW EVERYONE LOVES A BEARD!!!

obviously you can do that about everyone, i just used the most assumed areas of improvement. I guess i cant assume that lidge will be better, but he is an every other year pitcher. It’s hard to do worse than last year. But yea, ill allow you to add hanson to the braves win column and we can add halladay, that sounds fair to me…
It’s hard to imagine Lidge being any worse. Or even if he’s that bad again, being allowed to do it for that long. Sure, Madson had some problems in the closer spot last year… but I’ll take any decent pitcher and roll the dice on him being able to keep his ERA under fucking 7, even in the closer spot.
