Camden Riversharks Are 1-0 Since Signing Wilson Valdez, Who Is 1-0

As you have already heard, the Camden Riversharks have signed Wilson Valdez. In 35 games this season, the Riversharks have committed 34 errors. It’s Camden’s hope that a guy like Valdez can help this team’s porous defense, which has helped the pitching staff allow an average of 6.4 runs per game.

Perhaps his presence will provide the spark they need as they have only won 11 games in the season’s first month and a half. They showed some life last night, putting 13 runs up against York. Valdez played shortstop and batted second, going 2 for 5 with a run scored in his first start (on the two-year anniversary of the 19 inning game that he won against the Cincinnati Reds).

The Riversharks have two games left against York in the current homestand. They won’t be back at Campbell’s Field again until June 4. First pitch today is at 1:35pm and tomorrow they are offering a Memorial Day special – $5 tickets for their 5:35pm start. Get some.

would rather have him in the pen over Durbin or Horst

  • FREDDY GALVIS

Still can’t believe Herndon, Baez, and Valdez threw 8 1/3 shutout innings that night
